1) BBSRC 20th Anniversary
Another significant event, the BBSRC 20th Anniversary celebration, pulled out all the stops. Taking place on land next to the Museum of Childhood in East London we provided marquees for an exhibition and informal drinks reception on the opening evening. This enabled the client to have a separate event space creating a special focus for this special anniversary.
As well as providing the marquee we also supplied lighting, power, heating and support technicians on site.
2) Chessington Garden Centre
We have been delighted to work with Chessington Garden Centre for a number of years providing marquess for both their Halloween and Christmas events. Chessington Garden Centre’s Christmas Grotto is legendary and is the second largest in the country (after the Trafford Centre). For an event of this size, attracting so many extra visitors, it is inevitable that additional space is needed.

Winter Wedding Marquee Hire
Marquee Hire loved being part of beautiful bride Angela’s wedding to Neil on the 26th August 2017. Angela designed her own wedding dress, which we made to measure to fit her perfectly, in champagne satin and gold lace. From the moment we first met this relaxed and charming bride-to-be, Angela was an absolute pleasure to work with.
Providing the marquee for such a happy occasion and be part of making special couples dream come true. The finishing touches were chosen to add to the occasion, ensuring every detail was taken care of. As they were married in August, the floral designer put together the most glorious summer bouquets, table decorations and flower arch in gorgeous pink and white roses.

Buckland Park Lake is set within the Surrey Hills Area, between Reigate and Dorking, is a unique new wedding space, which blends tranquillity with dramatic, breath-taking views.

HOW DO I CHOOSE THE RIGHT LAYOUT FOR MY MARQUEE?
Celebrate that special occasion as you would like, with marquee Hire’s large selection of marquees, you can choose the size depending on how many guests you wish to attend. This is particularly useful when you planning your wedding.
When considering marquee layouts, and what seating to choose, there is a large amount of choice available especially if you are having a marquee wedding Sussex; a certain aspect will be dictated by the type of function and whether it is a fully seated, part seating, or standing function.
Marquee Hire stock a wide variety of furniture, it is key to consider what atmosphere you are trying to create in your marquee, so that the furniture can be used to help add to this.
For fully seated functions they would recommend either 8 guests sat at 5ft round tables or 10 guests sat at 5ft 6″ round tables, allowing a 3x3m space for each table. They also stock 6ft round tables to seat 12 guests, however these are suited for more formal functions, as due to the size it makes it much harder for guests to speak to each other across the table.
For top tables, for more traditional events such as weddings, they have long tables (4ft or 6ft long), and oval tables to suit a varying number of guests. Of course, like all of their marquees and events, none of this is set in stone, they can fine tune the furniture and marquee to suit your finer requirements.
For an informal function or part seated buffet using a range of table sizes works very well. It also breaks down the structure to create a more informal atmosphere. 3ft round tables work particularly well. THE EVENT
Building project, the refurbishment of flooring in two hall ways.
THE CHALLENGE
Marquee Hire were approached by international engineering firm, Laing O’Rourke to provide a covering for stonemason’s whilst they were refitting flooring in the prestigious No 1 Hyde Park development in Knightsbridge for several weeks.
Not only was it imperative that the existing fixtures and fittings were to remain in situ and to be protected, the build time was limited to several days, to reduce impact to residents.
THE SOLUTION
After meeting the client onsite, we worked with our skilled in house team and supply chain to design deliver two bespoke temporary structures to be built and fitted within the hall ways.
After refining both structures in our warehouse, we were ready to install these following a tight 2 day build schedule, with both structures being dismantled 2 months later to again, in a one day take down. The project as a huge success, staying on time and on budget with no impact on existing fixtures and fittings in situ.
