PC-Planner
C-Map's PC-Planner runs on Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP, and will turn your home PC into a navigation planning tool. It is a two slot device which allows for the insertion of 2 cartridges. With the accompanying software installed, the user is able to view their cartridges, and enter waypoints, routes and marks, which can then be stored on the PC's hard drive.
With the Raytheon Pathfinder plotters, the PC-Planner allows information to be transferred between the PC and plotter, via NMEA/RS232. |

In order to connect the two systems together, it is necessary to make up a lead that connects the PC's serial port to the power/NMEA and NMEA out cables of the Raytheon Pathfinder plotter as shown below.
Most PC's serial ports now have a 9 way male D-Type connector and a suitable female connector is available from Maplins. |
