Leading electronic chart manufacturer, C-Map, is proud to be supporting Alex Thomson, his crew, and Open 60 'HUGO BOSS' in The VELUX 5 Oceans Race (formerly the Around Alone).

They have supplied a wide range of charts to help guide the Open 60 during the Race, and also in the present run-up. Currently she is sailing from Melbourne to South America, and then up to North America and Canada before returning to Gosport, UK, in July.

The VELUX 5 Oceans Race is the World’s premier single-handed round the world race, and is the longest race for any individual in any sport, covering over 30,000 miles. The Race starts in Bilbao, Spain, on 22nd October 2006, with an anticipated 20-strong fleet competing. They will head for Freemantle, Western Australia, then on to Florida, USA, before a transatlantic sprint back to Bilbao in Spring 2007.
