C-Map has launched a new PC version of its popular MAX electronic chart database, designed for use on personal computers. In conjunction with suitable PC Navigation software, MAX on PC charts will transform a PC into an electronic charting system.

Exactly the same level of detail is provided, as on C-Cards, giving unparalleled levels of chart accuracy and detail, with quick refresh rates. There's perspective view, live nav-aids that flash in 'real life' sequence, tidal and current data, as well as marina information supported by aerial photography.

MAX on PC comes in the form of a CD-ROM, with 11 different versions available to cover the Word. From there, you may select your chosen area, then contact C-Map, either via email or the telephone, to purchase a chart licence request. A unique return code will be given to you, which then unlocks the chart onto the PC's hard drive, giving you immediate access to your selected cartography.

MAX on PC is available in two coverage sizes. The Wide version retails at £139.00 + VAT, with MegaWide at £209.00 + VAT.
