Despite all the setbacks over the last two years, Spirit of Cardiff set off from Cardiff Bay on time cheered on by hundreds of supporters. Twenty one countries and nearly 25,000 miles in under 75 days, this is around the World the long way -- round the middle! They're aiming for Spirit of Cardiff to average around twenty knots (about 22 mph) the whole time, day and night, day after day -- for around two months! They are in good hands though for C-Map has supplied them with maps of the entire World to guide them on their project.
